SALIM MERCHANT
Among India's most respected music composers.

Alongside his brother, Sulaiman Merchant, Salim has scored more than a 100 films, 20 television shows and composed several records incorporating cinematic, folk, electronica and Sufi influences to his music. His compositions include the musical, 'Merchants of Bollywood', and his latest highly anticipated Hollywood film 'Sold' is already gaining appreciation at film festivals. Salim has enthralled audiences across the world with his live concerts, including his performance at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup 2010. His songs have been very inspirational, especially the sports anthem "Chak de India". Salim Merchant is credited with redefining the music scene in India, and has appeared on several television shows as a celebrity judge, including the very popular Indian Idol. His score for the film 'Fashion' won the Best Music Award at New York's Syracuse International Film Festival. More awards have been received from Filmfare, Zee Cine, IAAFA, Screen and several others. He has also been nominated for a daytime Emmy Award for composing 'Save the Tiger - Wonder Pets' and continues to spread his music all over the world. Most recently, his latest collaboration with Lady Gaga in "Born This Way". Salim also created an incredible episode for Coke Studio Season 3 with songs that have brought him closer to his roots. This genre of music has evoked a strong resonance in a lot of people and created a unique sound blending traditional folk music with the now.



SHRADDHA SHARMA
From Dehradun, is India's biggest YouTube Sensation.

At the age of 15, Shraddha uploaded her first song, a version of "Main Tenu Samjhawan Ki" from the movie "Virsa" on April 30, 2011. Since then, she has uploaded several videos of her singing, that have amassed millions of views. Her YouTube channel 'Shraddharockin' is one of the highest subscribed channels in India with more than 1,41,886 subscribers. She describes herself as a regular person from Dehradun. Hailing from a musical family, she credits her mother with introducing her to music. "She is my first teacher, my first audience and my inspiration" says Shraddha. Currently a student pursuing Mass Media at Wilson College, Mumbai, Shraddha's ultimate aim is to be a rockstar. "I know my dreams are really big, but I believe dreams are fulfilled only if you have the power to see them", Shraddha says. With a crazy fan following (142K on YouTube, 2 million fans on Facebook and 13.2K on Twitter) there is little doubt about how close she already is to her goal!
